Title: Sr. Sales Storage Engineer
NETGEAR is looking for an energetic Technical Sales professional with passion for the Storage industry. Ideal candidates have experience working in a dynamic environment and rapidly-growing marketplace.
Responsibilities:
The Sr. Sales Storage Engineer will be responsible for supporting all pre sales ReadyNAS customer deployment specifications and installation challenges and post sale care of the customer. This job is a key role in the NETGEAR family and is only suited for the best of the best. This person’s time will be spent via con calls with resellers and end users, other SE’s at our major partners: i.e. CDW, Ingram, etc, and in the field on calls and trainings with key partners to train their technical teams to support us. In addition, we’d like to see this role help in creating training material and documentation to better support our partners.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Interface with the customers, NETGEAR Engineers, Level 2 & 3 lab technicians, PLM’s and Sales reps to manage all technical aspects for customers during pre-sales product qualifications, and after sales technical support to assure timely resolution
- Ensure customer satisfaction on product technical support by working with groups mentioned above and by escalating high priority or customer concerns to upper management
- Participate in weekly meetings with assigned customers to ensure that all issues are tracked and closed
- Support the Sales Team on an as needed basis
- Work with Level 2 and Level 3 teams to gain an equal command of trouble shooting approaches and techniques
- Oversee all technical trainings at North American distributors as well as major DMR and VAR partners
Special Requirements
- Ability to establish and accomplish goals with limited direct supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personalities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
- A fluid understanding of NAS sales and the channel sales process
- Must be capable of independently presenting NETGEAR solutions to current and potential customers
- Advanced Virtualization training. Must understand and be compliant in VMWare, Microsoft and other popular Virtualization software
Education:
College degree required. BS/BA in Business or related field/work experience. Virtualization courseware certificates or certifications required.
Expiernce:
5 years as Sales Engineer for major NAS/SAN manufacturer. Must understand and have worked with the channel using resellers and distributors to leverage the masses to train and sell our NAS Storage products.
