SMB woes revealed at Interop (5/22/2007)

We are an IT consulting company. Regularly, we have customers calling for assistance on a variety of issues, and they always need a fast response. The smaller the client, the shorter the response time. Sometimes in just a few minutes we are expected to diagnose, and fix IT problems. "My printer doesn't print." When these calls come in, we use VPN to access our clients' systems remotely. Yesterday, a client had changed the IP address of a major network printer, denying the whole office access to printing. The same day, another client called and said their copier wasn't working. They had forgotten to plug it in!
