The usual excellent Netgear build quality. Very fully featured, with all the usual management capabilities, with the added benefit of being able to monitor and control via the iOS/Android based Insight app. Thoroughly impressed with this, as well as that WAC510 Insight Managed Access Point. Being able to access the devices remotely via a simple and clear interface is a real productivity boon.

The access point was easy to setup as with most Netgear products. The range is acceptable and it works well with other wac510 access points. Having POE is nice and the extra Lan port a plus. It makes it easy to intercept a cable run and still provide a network port. Transition from standalone mode to cloud mode is straightforward.
I have only owned this for about a week, although I have 5 years experience with one of the bigger companies cloud devices.Pros: I really like the transparency. So far I like the alerts although they may get old! This will really help me give my customers solid data when dealing with not so solid ISP's. I will be able to rule out the network as being the problem due to its historical performance info. And 10 dollars a year per device for premium management features! WAAAAY better than what I pay with the competition!Cons: I wish it had some sort of system wide cable check, or audit. I'm impatiently waiting for multiuser support. I'd love to give the onsight office manager access to view only on the app. I was bugged that I had to "purchase premium" to get it all up and running and no where in amazon's sales page listed a subscription fee. they should give a basic get it up and running subscription for free.
I replaced all the access points I had with three of the Netgear ones and they are awesome no dead spots it's not messing up my devices they aren't dropping off the network working flawlessly and the range of spectacular I doubled my internet speed by putting these in excellent product.
This access point was fairly easy to setup, with tons of options both locally on the network and through the Netgear Insight app for configuration afterwards. This can be set up simply or if you have networking experience, you can set it up with many more controls.
We have tried about 5 differ. AP. and this is the only one that hooked up setup and worked right.. and the RANG!!! i can get about 100ft through walls and all with this one.. Not to mention the emails you get when updates are needed or if there is a down time.. I could not have asked for a better product and service..We plan to buy another.
