NETGEAR INTRODUCES AUTHORIZED PARTNER PROGRAM FOR ARLO SMART SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEM AT ISC WEST EXPO

With the mission to deliver a smart and modern approach to video security, the Authorized Partner Program is available to alarm integrators through COPS Monitoring

LAS VEGAS — April 5, 2017NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTGR), the worldwide leader in home networking and smart home security products, is introducing an authorized partner program for its award-winning family of innovative Arlo® Smart Home Security Camera systems. NETGEAR Arlo is partnering with COPS Monitoring, the leading wholesale provider of professional monitoring services in the United States, providing services for approximately 3,500 independent alarm dealers and integrators representing more than 2.1 million accounts in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean.

As an Arlo Authorized Partner, residential and commercial security installers gain access to the top-selling smart home security camera1 on the market with exclusive dealer pricing, and benefit from the Arlo Recurring Revenue (RMR) program, high quality sales collateral, and dedicated support.

“In the run up to launching this program, we met with a number of dealers across the country and it became clear that the dealers and their clients were not satisfied with existing video-based solutions,” said Deepak Polamarasetty, senior director of applications and services for Arlo at NETGEAR. “In addition to the standard suite of cloud storage offerings, we will be making our Arlo Smart technology available to dealers and the customers they serve. Arlo Smart is our machine learning technology that analyzes videos in real time and delivers amazing insights to customers. A number of exciting features are in the works, which will make it easy for dealers to win and retain customers.”

“With the outdoor wire-free capability, rechargeable batteries, and easy-to-use apps, NETGEAR’s Arlo line of cameras is an exciting new offering,” said Jim McMullen, president and COO of COPS Monitoring. “Giving our dealers the ability to offer the best-selling smart home camera, either by itself or in addition to their existing monitored services, helps them grow their business by opening the door to new markets and new sources of RMR.”

The Arlo Pro “Brown Box” offering for the Arlo RMR program includes the Arlo Pro Camera (VMC4030-111 PAS) and Arlo Pro Base Station (VBM4000-111 PAS). This brown box offering will be initially available through Tri-Ed. The Arlo Pro Smart HD security camera is the world’s first 100% wire-free, weatherproof, rechargeable HD smart security camera with 2-way audio and 130 degree viewing angle. Arlo Pro is ideal for business and home use, and can be placed both indoors and outdoors. Given its wire-free design and rechargeable batteries, Arlo Pro HD Smart cameras are already in high demand by consumers but until now, security dealers could only purchase Arlo through retail channels.

“Our new Arlo Authorized Partner Program makes it easier and more financially attractive for security professionals to add Arlo to their product offering,” said Pat Collins, NETGEAR senior vice president of Arlo products. “We could not ask for a better partner than COPS Monitoring to help us deliver the Arlo solution to thousands of security professionals. With nearly four decades of experience, COPS has developed a stellar reputation for serving independent alarm dealers.”

Arlo Pro has many unique features valued by security installers:

  • Small, 100% wire-free, weatherproof, rechargeable smart security cameras are easy to install as they don’t require power or connection cables
  • Crystal-clear HD quality video with night vision capability so no external IR is required
  • Innovative Arlo mounts makes it easy to move cameras to new locations based on customer needs
  • Arlo Smart analytics identify people, cars, animals and swaying trees, enabling Arlo cameras to record and alert only those events that matter
  • Cloud-based back-end, which means there is no infrastructure such as DVR, tapes or HDDs to maintain or risk damaging, as recordings are instantly stored in the cloud
  • Free iOS and Android mobile and web apps that are simple to set up and use, so motion can be monitored from any computer or mobile device
  • More affordable than traditional security systems and offers an assortment of accessories

Recurring Revenue Program
Any dealer and installer — whether you are affiliated with COPS or not — can become an authorized Arlo partner and get access to the exclusive cloud recording plans. This is one of the best values in the market. Dealers are free to set their own selling price on all Arlo RMR services, as Arlo can be billed as a standalone service or added to the monitoring of an existing portfolio. If you are not a COPS affiliated dealer, all you need to do is set up a COPS account. You are not required to have your accounts monitored by COPS in order to qualify for this program.

Authorized security installers may sign up for the Arlo Partner program now at partners.arlo.com. Please also visit the Arlo partners’ site to learn more about qualified distributors for the program.
